Artist Receptions

The Library’s Mary Flood Room not only serves as the main venue for Town meetings and community groups, but also as the home of art shows by talented local artists. Recent shows include works by members of Brownstone Arts (a local artists’ group), railroad photographer and PHS teacher Stu Noelte and local watercolorist Richard Raicik.

FPL sponsors an Artist Reception for each art show. Beverages and homemade baked goods are always served.

October: Janet Lopes will display her Nature photography from October 5 to November 23

December: Christopher Graham, Portland photographer will display "Birds & Bridges along the CT River Valley" from December 7 to January 16

March: Youth Art Month Exhibit featuring the art of talented students from Portland Secondary Schools.
